Bands

Dressy Bessy

Power pop punk legends Dressy Bessy are on tour from Colorado and we're honored to have them as the headliner for the very first Uncertainty Festival!

Arc Flash

Experimental space punk from Lawrence, Kansas!

Tires

Hot off the release of their new album, Tires is one of the most interesting bands around. Instrumental and tuneful, Tires blurs the line between electronic and rock in a unique way, as much about dancing your ass off as pumping your fist.

Listen here.

Doctor Murdock

Doctor Murdock's debut album "A Man From Earth On Mercury" is Nova Labs' biggest-selling album of all time, and with good reason. Grooves to dance to, phenomenal musicianship, and dramatic, time-twisting arrangements make these guys one of the best bands in the state, and one of the most fun shows around.

Jordan Mayland & The Thermal Detonators

Jordan Mayland's undeniably catchy songs are augmented by some of the best musicians in the Iowa music community. With a new album on the verge of release, catch The Thermal Detonators as they bring melody and intricate arrangements to the stage.

Obsidian's Dream

For fans of the jam, look no further than Obsidian's Dream. Their debut album "Plant Life" has consistently been a Nova Labs best-seller, and their live show is a balance of musicianship, improvisation, and a deadpan sense of humor.

Bleujack

Bleujack eventually released an album this year, and it was worth the wait. The band has been firing on all cylinders, with powerful grooves and space rock guitars propelling Bleujack's whiskey-drenched growl into the stratosphere.

Moonrabbit

With the ability to go from atmospheric to driving hard rock, Moonrabbit are difficult to classify. Gothic indie rock? Prog-pop? Their debut album "Water Damage" was a stone cold classic, catch their great live performance as they tool up for their second album.

The Fred Love Explosion

Rock, folk, and country combined with solid song craftsmanship, The Fred Love Explosion are hard at work on an album due out later this year.

Ben Schrag And The Cautionaries

With the voice of an angel and the wit of Mark Twain, Ben Schrag's beautiful songwriting is augmented by The Cautionaries' gentle and jazzy grooves. Look for their debut album later this year.

Holly Figueroa

Whether wielding a guitar or behind a piano, Holly Figueroa is a formidable singer/songwriter, with a voice as beautiful as they come. Holly's debut album, "Holly And The Night Owls," has been a consistent seller on Nova Labs, and for good reason - every song is a complete gem, and the melodies only unfold more and more with repeated listenings.

Evan Campbell

Endlessly creative, Evan Campbell writes songs that are melodic and filled with soul, and his performances convey incredible energy and charm. Evan recently released his debut EP, "Evan Campbell For Real," on Nova Labs, and has been an active performer in the Central Iowa music community.

Nate Logsdon

Nate Logsdon wears many hats in the Iowa music community, but he also happens to be one of our finest singer/songwriters. Nate will be kicking off The Uncertainty Festival, and is well-known for songs that can make you laugh and break your heart, often within the same song. Nate has released a number of albums on Nova Labs, the most recent of which, "Bathtub Against the Sea," was produced by fellow Iowa master songwriter Brooks Strause.
